The Faire
Harvest Faire is a modern interpretation of a late 15th century European fall harvest celebration and tournament. Entertainers and a market mix with the sounds of good-natured martial competition and the smells of period cooking. Watch a craftsperson plying their trade, try your hand at games of chance and skill, and cheer for the warrior of your choice at the Field of Honors. Wander through 6 acres of village on a 22 acre site.
Harvest Faire is produced and staffed entirely by volunteers.
Hiatus 2020
With regret, Harvest Faire must take a year off to focus on finding more staff or partnerships that will involve more people in making the event happen - or making the event less complex and easier to run with the staff we can get. We will continue to be active on FaceBook, looking for suggestions and ideas for the 2021 event. 2020 will be a hiatus or chrysalis - a time to retool and hopefully find more "doers" to join the team and help us do the event in 2021. We will post the 2021 date soon, but it will be subject to the alliances we form. In the meantime, there will be memes and medieval news and anything else that develops. Don't forget about us! Maybe we'll do some small things this year just for fun - and we will let you know of other events in the area with a similar vibe.
2019 Charity Selected
Youth Challenge of Hampton Roads has been selected as our charity, again, for 2019! Come out and help them make a difference, rebuilding lives in our community.

Harvest Faire celebrates its 25th year!
Harvest Faire, the Virginia Peninsula’s oldest Renaissance Festival, will return to Newport News to celebrate its 25th season October 11-13, 2019. The Faire is held at Endview Plantation, 362 Yorktown Rd. Come and enjoy medieval combat and encampments, knights on horseback, live music and dance, merchants, food and period games. You don’t need to wear a costume and we don’t mind if you do wear one.
