Faire Rules - Please Read

  1. Parking is allowed only in the designated areas.  Please do not park alongside the road
  2. In consideration of nearby residents, music which can be heard beyond the parking area is not permitted.
  3. In order to preserve the delicate shoreline, no water-related activities of any kind are permitted.
  4. The following activities are not permitted: bicycles off paved roads, swimming, private boats, fishing from banks of lake, and motorcycles.
  5. Swords and knives are permitted as long as they are knotted with a peace ribbon. Other weapons will not be allowed at the Faire, excepting vendors’ wares and demonstration teams (demo teams with weaponry must check in with security on arrival).
  6. Daytime photography is acceptable, as long as those in the photo do not mind.  However, only staff will be allowed to photograph the bonfires each night.
  7. We love children and they are certainly welcome.  However, attending children are the responsibility of their guardians.   Please do not allow them to damage park or Faire property! No unaccompanied minors will be allowed to participate in competition events.
  8. Please keep an eye on children, especially around the swordplay, fire show, bonfire and archery areas.
  9. Pets must be leashed and well behaved.   It is your responsibility to clean up after your animal. Disruptive companion animals will be cause for expulsion.
  10. Fires are only permitted in the bonfire circle, the Living History area, and campsite barbecue grills or stoves using approved fuels.  NO OPEN FIRES! The use of gasoline to ignite fires is prohibited. Do not leave fires unattended. It is the responsibility of each party to completely extinguish all fires.  PLEASE DO NOT DUMP HOT COALS IN THE DUMPSTERS!
  11. Littering is profoundly disrespectful to the Earth; DON’T DO IT!
  12. Dispose of cigarette butts in cans provided, or field dress them and put them back in your pockets; don’t throw them on the ground. Pack out what you pack in!
  13. Please respect our smoking policy: no smoking in any designated children’s activity or area; no smoking under any Faire pavilion; no smoking in any line.
  14. Possession of illegal substances/items is cause for expulsion.
  15. Harvest Faire is a family event; alcohol consumption to the point of disorderly conduct may be cause for expulsion.
  16. We reserve the right to refuse admission to or revoke admission from anyone due to abusive or disruptive behavior.  Dismissals from the event due to violation of the rules will receive no admission reimbursement.
This event is a fundraiser for the benefit of Human Relief Organization, sponsored by Harvest Faire LLC.
